Long Flight

He wondered if any of the other passengers were unnerved by his prayers as the plane taxied down the runway. His devotion to God was less important at the moment than his devotion to alleviating his intense fear of heights and flying. Praying, even at the top of his lungs, did much to distract him and keep his mind off of the idea of a metal tube propelling itself and him along with it into a realm meant for winged creatures, not terrified bipedal humans.

He hoped the medication kicked in soon.
