Words are like bullets. Each one capable of great damage, piercing a heart, or deeply wounding. Words can even kill, including those fired off without intention, an accident, striking an unintended target.
Words are strong. They can build walls between people. Words can end relationships. Words can prompt actions. Once spoken, words can never be taken back. There is no undo for a spoken or written word set free to live a life of its own, a negotiation between two people, a binding that cannot be broken.
Words speak to our creative nature. They can open doors, strike up conversations, bring smiles to this lips of a beloved, lift up others, and cause us to pause and reconsider. Change is the nature of words, and change is often difficult.
