No Dreams

No dreams worth memory. Each dream, a visual world of its own, required visual memory storage as much as any real-life event. Dreams, like memories, required the dreamer to live through the experience, and each night, as he drifted off to sleep, he coaxed himself to keep the refrain foremost in his thoughts: no dreams worth memory. No dreams, lest they take space from those wonderful times they spent together, lest he lose those memories now that he’d lost her.
