Just A Little Glue To Hold It All Together

Twenty-seven and counting. Each one stacked up on the others, forming a pyramid. Three nines. Twenty-seven is a triangle, so the number works well. Peel one, then another, add them all up and you get twenty-seven. Why does that deserve a hyphen? Is there something special about that? A nine is there threes, so that’s something. Symmetrical. For the moment. The next one isn’t much of anything, so crack the top, peel it, set it on the floor to start another row. All the rest stack on top of that. Center pole is steel, to give it strength and shape. Nothing is knocking that pyramid down, that’s for sure, not even the storm of justice. Not his tower. Twenty-seven isn’t coming down for nothing.
